Farewell hangxiety – get a ‘functional buzz’ from zero-alcohol beverage Dayse

As Dry July comes to an end, a new contender for booze-free sessions rears its pretty head. Say hola to Dayse, a new brand from Byron Bay’s Organica Beverage Co that’s been co-founded by surfers Jack Freestone and Alana Blanchard. These fresh tipples are said to leave you with a functional buzz – without the hangxiety.

If you’re keen to say goodbye to hangovers and hello to tasty zero-alcohol drinks, then let Dayse be your sip of choice. The new brand is making booze-free drinks differently by infusing plant-based extracts like adaptogens and nootropics into its functional spritzers, which have been known to positively impact the body’s functionality. According to Dayse, some of the benefits of consuming these plant-based extracts include enhancing energy levels, improving mental clarity and easing anxiety. We can pretty much all agree that alcohol doesn’t do any of those, especially when a nasty hangover leaves us with a sore head and a case of the “I said what last night?”.

Dayse’s functional spritzers currently come in two flavours. There’s Awaken, which is a mix of grapefruit and zero-percent gin that is said to elevate your energy and cognitive function. You can also sip on Easing, a mix of ginger and zero-percent whisky that could aid in calming your mind and regulating stress levels. The co-founders of Dayse, Jack Freestone and Alana Blanchard, hope that Dayse and the booze-free lifestyle movement is just the beginning of a shift in the way we approach our relationship with alcohol. “We value our health and active lifestyle, but we also value having fun with friends and family at social events. Dayse is all about replacing the need for alcohol in social settings, whilst making sure we never lose those good times.”

Dayse is now available for purchase online and in select retail locations.
