Created from a fascination with colour, purity and texture, NARS cosmetics launched in 1993, with founder François Nars providing Barneys in New York with a collection of merely 12 lipsticks. Now this modern cult make-up label covers all bases, applying its iconic shades to nails, cheeks, eyes and lips.
Its latest release is the Satin Lip Pencil, designed to be used as an all-over lip colour. The collection sees 12 shades available at Mecca Cosmetica, with the exclusive 13th shade of Jardin des Plantes (fuschia) available online only. Each colour in the range is named after a famous park, with Luxembourg a vivid watermelon shade and Yu a tone of shocking pink – for those inclined to don fluoro accoutrements.
Inspired by the strength of a rich, smouldering lip against a fresh face, the NARS Satin Lip Pencils offer long-wearing intense colour enriched with moisture for a smooth, satin finish. A selection of nudes and neutral shades also feature, along with Golshan – a spiced wine tone to pair with your upcoming winter wardrobe – and fun coral shade, Lodhi, to match your autumn garb.
