TWE Barnaby Black and CXXVI

Made for the rugged man, Barnaby Black and CXXVI

With whispers in the air of a new collection on its way from CXXVI, meet its older-brother label Barnaby Black, delivering woods-wanderer meets casual city attire.

Made for the rugged man, at home in the wilderness or working by the sea packing trays of oysters, Barnaby Black is the latest creation from Mathew Sabatino, a graphic-turned-fashion designer, and often partner in creative crime to design-savvy duo Matt Gorton and Jon Contino of CXXVI.

Taking the attire of the fisherman and woods-wanderers of New York State for inspiration, the debut collection from Barnaby Black features plaid button-ups, graphic-fronted tees, woven socks, field pants and over shirts perfect for sporting an off-to-get-some-mountain-air look. Practising eco-friendly methods from production through to shipping, this label for the nature-loving gent is committed to preserving and sustaining the planet.

Recognised for quality, American-made products with a matching aesthetic – think nautical and working man emblems mixed with great typography modelled on tattooed, rugged types – CXXVI has made its mark in the realm of stylised but casual wares. And despite being rather sleepy of late, the lads have confirmed a spring/summer collection is on the way.

Both Barnaby Black and CXXVI are available for purchase online via their websites.
