Kick back with Sunday Sessions on the River Quay Green
Upon rising from slumber on a Saturday morning, a trip to the farmers market and brunch with friends are usually the first points of order to kickstart the weekend. Come Sunday, the busy-ness of the work week and excitement of a free Saturday usually means a lazy afternoon is in order to relax and rejuvenate before the cycle starts again.
Those partial to tune-filled Sunday session can catch brilliant river breezes and sweet afternoon rays of sun at the River Quay Green from this weekend. Sunday Sessions on the Green will showcase the smooth tunes of some of Brisbane’s best musicians each weekend. Kicking off this Sunday October 13, Sunday Sessions on the Green will feature The Shannon Marshall Trio playing a fresh mix of jazz, Latin and 1960s soul classics.
Set against the backdrop of the city skyline, this free weekly event is sure to be a crowd pleaser during the warmer seasons, with post-gig wining-and-dining options a mere stroll away from the grassy knolls. Make like our fellow Frenchmen and take to the River Quay Green with a picnic blanket and a bounty of good fare to enjoy come lunchtime, before the live tunes of Sunday Sessions croons through the air from 1:00–5:00 pm.
