Festival goers have an excuse to frown today, as Splendour in the Grass has reportedly been cancelled.
According to media reports, the 2024 edition of the Splendour in the Grass music festival has been cancelled.
Though festival organisers are yet to make an official comment, multiple outlets citing anonymous sources are confirming the festival’s cancellation, which comes only two weeks after the official line-up – headlined by Kylie Minogue, Future and Arcade Fire – was first revealed.
The news comes at a bad time for Australia’s live-music scene, with the high-profile cancellation becoming the latest in a recent spate of festival shutdowns.
Splendour in the Grass was set to take place at the North Byron Parklands from July 19–21.
