Mosman Alder release debut EP ‘Burn Bright’
Mosman Alder has a mystic, haunting sound, which engulfs the listener in its sombre tales yet allows them to emerge upbeat.
Following the release of preview brooding single ‘Raisin Heart’, Brisbane six-piece Mosman Alder has delivered its much-awaited first EP, Burning Bright. Interrupted by the disaster that was the Brisbane floods, this first recording has pushed through hard times, but has come out the other end well-rounded and intense.
Led by the controlled croon of baritone vocalist Valdis Valodze, Mosman Alder delivers soaring harmonies and curious instrumental combinations including those of a classical pianist, heavy-metal drummer and Scottish violinist. Having performed together for almost two years, this local band has used the time to patiently develop a solid sound, accompanied by lyrics heavy with imagination and soul.
This five-track, debut release Burn Bright is available from record stores and online now, or experience the real deal when the band commences an East Coast Tour, playing Alhambra Lounge in Fortitude Valley on June 15.
