The second exhibition of its kind, Lowbrow is now an annual event, showcasing a line-up of emerging artists from around the country who employ one of the many aspects of lowbrow art within their work. The collection of works will feature illustrations, kitsch, sketch, comic, cartoon, skate, nostalgic and tattooing streams of art.

Curated by Lucinda Wolber, Brisbane Lowbrow will bring together artists Ellie Anderson, Caitlyn Sheedy, Alex Winters, Josh Rufford, Maddy Young, Liam Bhats, Plump Oyster, Danish Quapoor, Rachael Bartram, Cathryn Rhule, Ella Mobbs, Gabriele Lee, Nick Drake, Dave Collinson, Clare Toms and Sam McKenzie. A special opening night will be held at Bleeding Heart Gallery this Friday July 12 from 6:00 pm, with the exhibition running until Tuesday July 16.
