Lord Mayor’s Photographic Awards

Take a shot at the Lord Mayor’s Photographic Awards

Those with the skills to snap images that captivate and wow can now submit their work for ruling in the Lord Mayor’s Photographic Awards.

Whether you’re a professional shutterbug or an amateur hoping to submit a fluke, you can hit the Lord Mayor’s Photographic Awards with your best shot.

The annual competition provides Brisbane residents with an opportunity to get amongst their city’s cultural life, by reflecting Brisbane through their lenses. Cash prizes are awarded to category winners, and there are three categories you may have a chance of taking out – these include the Open Category, the Tertiary Category and the People’s Choice Award.

From the submitted collection, a number of images will be selected to appear in an online gallery, while the finalists’ photographs will be available for online public voting. The most popular image will be awarded the People’s Choice Award. It’s time to charge your batteries, empty your memory cards and get cracking on your soon-to-be award-winning images. You can head over to the official website to find out more. Entries close at 5:00 pm on Monday March 10, 2014.
