There’s a new app on the digital market that’s taken the idea of Instagram and pushed things a step further. Introducing Cinemagram. This free application let’s you create something that is part-photo, part-video (similar to stylised animated GIFs) that can play forward or reverse, and sped up or slowed down. To create these ‘Cines’ as they’re to be affectionately known, the user films a short video on their iPhone, before masking the region of the video that is to be animated. Then filters are applied to the footage similar to the ways of Instagram, before the final product is shared with your immediate Cinemagram community.
