TWE Ghosts in the Orchestra

Be spooked by Ghosts in the Orchestra

Ethereal voices and spooky sounds can send chills up the back of those who hear them, but when Queensland Symphony Orchestra (QSO) presents Ghosts in the Orchestra, you’ll be lulled in to a false sense of security.

Listening on as you watch the majestic QSO performs in its signature grandeur, you’ll think you’re in for a quiet evening of calming melody. But, the absence of a visible choir and the presence of otherworldly voices may begin to unnerve. Looking between the players in the orchestra and you might spot bodies sitting obscured without an instrument with which to perform. Ghosts in the Orchestra sees the choir concealed within the musicians, when QSO brings classical music to QPAC’s Concert Hall on Saturday August 9.

The unusual performance will also be preceded by a free pre-concert talk with Brisbane composer Gordon Hamilton at 7:00 pm.
