Catch original tunes at Front Yard Music

Queensland Conservatorium students are set to participate in a weekly mini-festival of original music from this Friday June 19.

Soak up the sounds of some of Brisbane’s best emerging musical talent at the free Front Yard Music mini-festival at QPAC. While the series kicked off late last month, from this Friday June 21 Seed artists from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University’s Bachelor of Popular Music program will perform original music from 5:00–8:00 pm every Friday until August 21.

This week’s program will feature Gold Coast indie band Fox and Fiasco, singer-songwriter Erin Jane and alternative-rock group TRAILS while also celebrating the release of the Seed Volume 4 compilation album produced annually at the Queensland Conservatorium. From funk and folk to pop, blues, rock, soul and country, local bands and individual artists including Aquila YoungBaskervillainSunday and Tommy Sheehan will cover the full spectrum of genres.
