Catch the world’s best short films at Flickerfest

The 24th Flickerfest International Short Film Festival will roll in to Brisbane this weekend as it makes its merry way around the country.

More than 2200 short films from around the globe have battled it out to earn a spot in this year’s Flickerfest line-up and this weekend you’ll have the chance to catch some of the world’s best. The winning entries have been making their way around the country, stopping in regional locations like Noosa and Nambour before swinging in to the Judith Wright Centre this weekend and continuing north to the Gold Coast and the Whitsundays next week.

Kicking off tonight, Thursday February 26, and running until this Saturday February 28, the Brisbane event will showcase the Best of Australian Shorts followed by an opening-night party, Best of International Part 1 tomorrow night and Best of International Part 2 on Saturday. JWC will also be screening some local films exclusive to the Brisbane leg of the festival. Find more information on the festival site, browse the film program and purchase single-night, weekend or full season tickets online.
