Fete de la Musique Brisbane 2013

Fete de la Musique brings beats to Brisbane’s streets

Fete de la Musique will spread its sounds through the streets of Brisbane this Friday, as part of the largest international live-music event in the world.

The festival will see barbershop quartets and rock bands come together, alongside a long list of talented bands and solo artists, providing their music throughout the city. Now in its sixth year in Brisbane, Fete de la Musique features local music showcased in its native city, all over the world. Commuters beware, as musicians will also be popping up on public transport and at stations and stops throughout the day.

Held this Friday June 21, the annual celebration of song will begin its morning festivities in Brisbane’s libraries and Fortitude Valley, while, come midday, Queen Street Mall will be filled with the merriment of melodies. And in the evening, music lovers of numerous genres can head to South Bank. Find the full program for the day here.
