Showcasing fascinating real-life sea creatures, and some of the mythical ones we wish were real, Deep Oceans is a new exhibition presented by Queensland Museum. The exhibition offers the chance to get up-close with some fearsome monsters direct from the bottom of the deep-blue wet thing, and runs from Friday March 28 until Monday October 6. Those stopping by will have a chance to see a real specimen of a giant squid from the museum’s collection, alongside some of the crawlies that have inspired myths about sea monsters. There will be hands-on activities for curious folk of all ages, and a life-size replica of the bathysphere will be on show.
