Curated Collections, State Library of Queensland

Explore Curated Collections at the State Library

As part of its fascinating Clever Convention series, SLQ’s Curated Collections allows visitors to explore the library’s hidden objects. Attendees to the Tuesday October 8 segment will get a rare opportunity to don the quintessential white gloves, examine books made from fish and microfische, see a cuneform tablet from 2028 BC and read from a steam punk e-reader. The library’s Helen Cole will share her insights into why certain items have been added into the collection, and Rachel Spino will show visitors how those objects are preserved.
