Cirque du Soleil returns with OVO
Evoking images of a swarm of honey bees, a butterfly fluttering around a delicate flower and a scuttling army of foraging ants, Cirque du Soleil’s OVO is a headlong rush into a colourful ecosystem teeming with life.
Cirque du Soleil’s OVO brings to the stage an immersion into the energetic world of insects. In a non-stop riot of energy and movement, the insects eat, crawl and flutter, play, fight and search for love. Laced with a tale of humourous characters in a comic pursuit of love, this latest production is an explosion of colour, movement, song, hilarity and romance, which reveals the hidden world of insects.
Be awe-inspired by the physical art and mesmerising acrobatics surrounding the depiction of insects whirring, clicking and taking flight, soaring 40 feet into the air on a flying trapeze. Self-described as a dramatic mix of circus arts and street entertainment, Cirque du Soleil is an extraordinary avant-garde circus spectacle.
