Laugh it up with the new Caxton Street Comedy Festival
If you’re a fan of a good drink and a good laugh, do we have good news for you. On October 19, Good Chat Comedy’s inaugural Caxton Street Comedy Festival will be taking over the precinct, with more than 20 stand-up comedy shows across four venues, all in one day. A vibrant historical hub in the heart of Brisbane, Caxton Street has long been a place for entertainment, culture and good times. In October it will be transformed into a one-stop shop of goofs and gags as it is overtaken by Caxton Street Comedy Festival, an all-day celebration of the Sunshine State’s flourishing comedy scene.
Running across Caxton Street Brewing Co., Lefty’s Music Hall, The Lord Alfred and The Haunt at The Caxton Hotel, the festival will be hosting some of Australia’s biggest and best comics including Luke Heggie, Nick Cody, Chris Ryan, Geraldine Hickey, Lloyd Langford and Michael Hing, alongside a hand-picked selection of local favourites.
Soak up a selection of 25 shows, and extra treats like live podcast recordings and streetside entertainment on the steps of mighty Lang Park, all while sipping on easy-drinking session lager Tight Five, brewed by major venue partner Caxton St. Brewing Co. especially for these farcical festivities.
