A luxury Kimpton Hotel is set to join Teneriffe’s new riverfront lifestyle precinct

Last week, the international hotel group Kimpton announced that it would be coming to Brisbane, with an impressive 155-room hotel slated to open in 2028. The Teneriffe-based hotel will boast sweeping river views, a 200-plus-seat signature restaurant and an extensive wellness and fitness centre. With offshoots already in London, Paris and New York City, Kimpton Hotels and its famed flair for design-minded experiences looks primed to set a new standard of luxury and inner-city cool in the coveted suburb.

As the country’s fastest-growing city for the last five years, it’s safe to say that humble Brisbane has carved a unique place for itself in the tourism scene. With the opening of destinations like The Calile Hotel, Hotel X and the Crystalbrook Vincent in the span of just a handful of years, holidaying in Brisbane has evolved into a sought-after – and award-winning – experience. Kimpton Hotel & Restaurants is set to only further elevate Brisbane’s current offering with the addition of a new inner-city oasis.

Kimpton Brisbane will house more than one hundred design-led rooms and suites, with sprawling marquee suites planned for VIP guests. Positioned on Teneriffe’s riverfront, the hotel’s amenities aim to harness the sensational river views and tropical climate, with an infinity pool overlooking the river while vistas on each side of the hotel will afford guests a peek of the skyline as well. On the 14th floor, guests will get to savour a spa and fitness centre as well as a 618 square metre indoor-outdoor event space. For locals, a world-class hospitality and retail precinct will reside on the hotel’s ground floor – adding to Teneriffe’s already robust range of shopping and dining enclaves.

The Kimpton will join Brisbane as part of Kokoda Property’s $1.5 billion development – which will include both commercial offices and multiple residential towers throughout the precinct. Keep an eye out as more information is announced on this upcoming development.
