The Calile
The Calile Hotel is James Street’s premier five-star accommodation, an inner-city oasis that will make you feel like you’ve travelled to an exotic faraway location, even though you’re in the heart of Fortitude Valley. The hotel’s Richards and Spence-designed aesthetic follows a breezy subtropical scheme, with softly vaulted corridors that are naturally ventilated winding through the building’s interior, linking The Calile’s 175 rooms (including nine suites and two premier suites), two rooftop terraces, a clock tower, amphitheatre and pool space. The rooms are fashionably appointed with cork floors, sisal matting, marble bathroom finishes, day beds, dining tables, Grown Alchemist bath amenities and motorised blackout blinds. When it comes to on-site food and beverage amenities, The Calile has some of Brisbane’s best restaurants and bars as options for its guests. Hellenika is the hotel’s flagship eatery, serving up top-flight Greek fare during the day and night. Downstairs, you’ll find premium Japanese restaurant Sushi Room, as well as chic sip spot, Lobby Bar. The adjacent Ada Lane precinct is home to even more, with Jocelyn’s Provisions, sAme sAme, Bianca, SK Steak & Oyster, and LOS bar all calling it home. The pool-deck level is where you’ll find the KAILO Wellness Medispa, which offers a curated holistic wellness package, customised treatment rooms, spa wellness pods and six kinds of massage. The Gymnasium is also open for those looking to get a workout in, with premium gym equipment, personal training services and luxurious amenities to boot. Finally, The Calile is host to a suite of event, meeting and conference spaces, including a 500-capacity Grand Room, two drawing rooms for gatherings of 24 guests each and the outdoor amphitheatre, which offers an alfresco entertaining option overlooking the pool deck.
