Heli Annola is a Finnish-born designer and importer who has called Australia home since 2003. After working in the corporate world for many years, Heli decided to ditch the office life for good and follow her passion for design, creating Valo. Finnish for ‘light’, Valo sees Heli utilising her interest in home decor and design to create a brand that focuses on lamps and pendant lights that incorporate design elements from her home country.

Some of the key elements of Scandinavian style are imbued in Valo’s range, which utilises light coloured woods, recycled metals and other raw materials to create a minimalist but aesthetically pleasing product. Valo’s current range boasts industrial-style lights, wooden pendant lights, black wire hanging lamps, minimalist wooden table lamps.
