IKEA headlines new Westfield North Lakes lifestyle precinct expansion
If you a) live on the north side of Brisbane and b) are craving a combination of Swedish meatballs and some new furniture but have put off driving to Logan, prepare to have your week made. Westfield North Lakes has just unveiled its new expansion, which has added 60 new retailers including the furniture and meatballs giant IKEA.
This year IKEA at Logan celebrated ten years of operation – that’s a decade of hard-to-pronounce furniture collections, Swedish snack foods and countless trips to the food court. A new addition to the IKEA family is set to open its doors at Westfield North Lakes today, headlining a massive influx of new retailers for the lifestyle precinct. The iconic blue and yellow facade of IKEA will be beaming from one end of the new expansion, drawing in shoppers that will be bewildered by the maze of furniture in front of them.
In addition to the new furniture superstore, Westfield North Lakes will be welcoming more than 60 new stores to the precinct, ranging from food and drink destinations, home and lifestyle stores, clothing boutiques and electrical outlets. Kmart, JB Hi-Fi, Rebel Sport and Cotton On Mega will be opening new stores, while brands such as Sportsgirl, Forever New, Universal, Bed Bath N’ Table and more will also be staking a spot. Be sure to head to the Westfield North Lakes website to get a sneak peek behind the hoarding at the full list of retailers, or head down and take in the swanky new addition in person.
