If it feels like the world has been piling on top of you lately, sometimes the best way to unwind and de-stress is to uncork a bottle of red and light the tip of some calming incense. Noncense lightens the mood with a range of satirical food-inspired incense holders, which are great for eliciting happy thoughts at the end of a hard week.

The humble incense burner has been given a creative overhaul, drawing upon our love of food and eclectic decorating to create a seriously charming product. Australian designers Patrick Crea and Stu Freeman linked up to put their respective multi-disciplinary design talents to good use, choosing to put a irreverent spin on the decorative ceramic scene. Noncense is a range of handcrafted incense holders, shaped and designed to perfectly imbue a good measure of the wit and cleverness of Patrick and Stu’s imagination.

The range currently includes a collection of holders shaped in the form of pizza slices, bananas and fried eggs – designed using 1:1 drawings and handcrafted into clay stands. Each incense stand comes presented in a custom wooden box with a removable acrylic lid, which can be used to catch ash as the incense burns. You can pick up a Noncense stand from Contra in the City or from the Noncense website.
