Highgate Hill is home to Three Bowls Cafe, a divine establishment that takes a truly unique approach to hospitality. Owned and operated by Lynne and Mo, Three Bowls had adapted Zen Buddhist teachings and incorporated them into every aspect of their business. The dining experience at Three Bowls incorporates the concept of giving and receiving, with all meals delivered as if a gift (indeed, the meals come gift wrapped). Each meal is served in three separate bowls providing a deconstructed meal, which is then combined at leisure. The menu is unique in the sense that it only provides a vague description of each meal – detailing meat, fish, vegetarian and vegan characteristics while leaving the rest a mystery. Every menu item is made on premises, with influences drawn from Mo’s Lebanese background as well as interests in international flavours.
