UQ Art Museum


The UQ Art Museum is recognised as one of the nation’s most beautifully designed university art museums, and boasts the second largest public art collection in Queensland. Since the UQ Art Museum was established in 1976, it has acquired over 3000 artworks, with a particular focus on researching, exhibiting and publishing the work of significant Australian and Queensland artists. Located in The James and Mary Emelia Mayne Centre, adjacent to the University’s Great Court, the UQ Art Museum provides an active range of exhibitions, public programs, events and publications open to the public seven days a week.
