Patio by Range

Fans of Range Brewing will be stoked to hear that the brains behind the cutting-edge brewing operation is making some forays into the realm of neighbourhood bars. Patio by Range, a charming Australiana-themed bar and nosh spot is now open in an eye-catching space on the corner of Baroona Road and Bayswater Street near Rosalie Village (the former site of Moga Izakaya and Sushi). Encompassing a small interior space, landscaped courtard and Myers Ellyett-designed freestanding alfresco structure, Patio by Range will be given a cosmetic sprucing that hones in on a classic pub-style aesthetic that is making a resurgence down south. As for the drinks, Patio’s bar will be equipped with a dozen taps, 10 of which will be dedicated to pouring a rotating line-up of beers. The final two will dispense a couple of Range’s own branded wines made in conjunction with LATTA Vino, available alongside a sizeable list featuring both new-age lo-fi drops and traditional crowd pleasers. A succinct but fun selection of classic and signature cocktails will also feature, while the kitchen will dispense eats popularised at Range’s Newstead kitchen, Jacopo’s Pizza, with additions fleshing out the offering beyond the established array of pizzas and sides. Patio by Range is expected to open in late May – get more details on the concept in our in-depth piece here.
