Known for renowned Sydney spots Quay and OTTO Ristorante, the entrepreneurial minds at The Fink Group looked north to open a sister venue, OTTO Brisbane. Conceptually similar to OTTO in Sydney, the venue offers a modern Italian menu using Australian ingredients, overlooking the Brisbane River and Story Bridge from a location within the impressive 480 Queen Street development. Acclaimed head chef Will Cowper’s comprehensive menu is fresh, seasonal and produce-driven, with the kitchen team constantly sourcing Brisbane for the finest local ingredients and letting them speak for themselves. Notable dishes include perfectly al dente Blue Swimmer crab ravioli and local squid cooked on the wood grill, served simply with lemon and olive oil. Also of note, on Saturday at lunch OTTO runs a special three-course share menu with BYO wine and champagne for $95 per person. OTTO Brisbane also includes Bar OTTO, an alfresco bar serving aperitivo and antipasti 4:00 pm on Thursday and Friday evenings, and access to 480 Queen Street’s elevated public park overlooking Adelaide Street and St John’s Cathedral.
