Fish Lane’s own martini and seafood specialist, Midtown, opened at the base of The Standard in September 2023, adding a slick dose of NYC-via-Spain vibes to the percolating drinking and dining strip. Owned and operated by the crew behind One Fish Two Fish, Midtown parlays a penchant for seafood into a terrific menu of bar plates, headlined by Tasmanian salmon sashimi, seacuterie platters, mini lobster croissants, Spanish octopus with green olive tapenade, cevapi pork sausage subs, and house-made spanner crab tortellini. Backing up the fare is a killer cocktail menu led by a ten-strong list of martinis. Either a martini one your way, opt for a tasty Midtown riff, or go for a wine instead – there’s plenty to choose from. Loosely divided into three sections – Midtown (the main 20-seat bar area), Uptown (a private dining space at the venue’s rear that seats 6-8 people) and Downtown (a 12-seat alfresco space positioned next to the entry) – Midtown might be small, but it packs variety in spades.
