Madame Wu

Perched at Riparian Plaza on Eagle Street, Madame Wu dishes modern Asian delicacies in a lavish setting. Take a seat under the protection of the retractable roof on the balcony to enjoy Story Bridge views or cosy up inside the two private dining rooms or 200-seat restaurant with a custom-built, sculptured tree for company. The Madame Wu menu takes a tasty traipse around Asia with dishes being inspired by the flavours of southern China, Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan and Japan, but given a local twist with fresh Queensland produce like Moreton Bay bugs and Mooloolaba prawns. Madame Wu taps in to the communal dining atmosphere of Asian restaurants with an assortment of share plates and banquets, and late-night dining on Friday and Saturday nights. Guests have a range of dumplings to choose from, as well as small plates like fried taro cake with king brown mushrooms, miso mayonnaise and shiso, mains like sticky Kilcoy beef with XO sauce and desserts including steamed chocolate buns with green tea ice-cream. More than 150 wines await in the walk-in cellar, while a cocktail station sates after-work thirst.
