Long Island Bar & Kitchen

Glamorous and chic, Victoria Point’s Long Island is the kind of tapas and cocktail bar you’d expect to spy along the Mediterranean coast. Helmed by a trio of youthful hospo engineers, Long Island is adding a dash of elegance to Redland Bay’s culinary offering. The venue is bright, white and minimal, boasting a main bar, curtained booths, cushy banquettes and a private VIP bar space. A spacious deck offers plenty of room for alfresco dining, with a soon-to-be-installed retractable awning making it weather proof. At night the outdoor tables and chairs are removed, turning the deck into a social space for dancing to retro DJs and live music. The venue’s menu encompasses snacks, grazing boards, signature tapas and stone-baked pizzas – with dishes like prawn cutlet rolls, miso-marinated flank steak and crispy chicken bao buns reportedly early standouts. Cocktails are a big focus of Long Island’s bar menu, with shareable cocktail jugs recommended if satiating a crew is on the cards. Tap beers and wines are also available, with a ME&U QR-code system making ordering another round (of drinks or snacks) effortless. Special events (including whisky and steak nights, karaoke nights and sip-and-paint evenings) are on the cards, as are weekly deals ranging from $10 pizzas on Tuesdays to chicken parmy nights.
