Following a mega-successful pop-up series in Brisbane, the plant-based noodle mavericks from i like ramen settled down in Brisbane permanently. The much-loved Gold Coast ramen god made its Brisbane home on Brunswick Street, partnering with The Flying Cock to serve up its plant-based menu of Japanese-inspired eats. Hungry patrons can slurp on the cult-fave ramen built on bases of bone-free broths like spicy kimchi, white miso, and a shiitake/soy combo. Toppings include everything from bok choy and fried tofu through to roasted tomato and even the famed vegan chick’n. If you’re not feeling the noodles, the gang has brought an absolutely stacked menu of sides with them – think panko-crumbed mushrooms and meat-free po-boys. The drinks offering has also shifted to focus on quality – classic tinnies, craft beers, natural wines are currently on offer, while a selection of kombucha cocktails will arrive come summer.
