The Redcliffe Peninsula continues to thrive, with a new seaside venue looking to give locals a scenic spot to knock back a few cold ones. Era Bar & Grill will open on Redcliffe Parade in late-November, with a beverage menu boasting a bevy of frosty craft beers and menu of family-friendly eats expected to make the waterfront locale extremely popular as we enter the steamy summer months. Era Bar & Grill operators Shannen and Damion Bielby are owners of the property, which has adopted many guises over the years, including a hotel, commercial hub and a cafe. Now, the couple is looking to realise the site’s true potential, implementing a light-industrial aesthetic spread across a 170-seat ground-floor bar and eatery space, and a 40-sqm function area upstairs. Era Bar & Grill will boast a whopping 26 taps, dedicated to dispensing craft beers from independent brewers (the majority of which will be Southeast Queensland based). Gins, whiskies, hard kombuchas and local wines will also be on offer, as well as an approachable menu of eats that will offer something for most tastes. A pair of 80s and 90s music tragics, Era has been named in ode to Shannen and Damion’s favourite decades, so don’t be surprised if you hear some absolute smash hits from those eras playing once the venue opens next month.
