Customs House
The iconic and heritage-listed Customs House has sat proudly on the banks of the Brisbane River since its erection in 1889. In 1994, the building was purchased and upgraded by the University of Queensland, which established it as one of Brisbane’s preeminent function locations. Customs House boasts six private event spaces – The Long Room, The River Room, The River Terrace, The Reid Room, The Sylvia Jones Boardroom and The Charitable Trusts Room. Each nook boasts modern amenities that can cater to seminars, private dining events, private meetings, birthday parties, gala dinners and riverside soirees. Although the site regularly hosts numerous prestigious events in its many function halls and rooms, many passer-by’s are unaware that Customs House is also home to an incredible restaurant and bar Patina, which is open to the public throughout the week.
