A wooden emporium of thoughtful fare, Bonsai Botanika sees specialty coffee and chocolate come together with a Japanese ramen and grill restaurant under one roof. On the ground floor, city dwellers can pick up their preferred cup of espresso-based coffee, chemex or Kyoto cold-drip brew, paired with a slice of decadent flourless chocolate cake. This lower level also crafts up hot chocolates, frappes (think dark chocolate and peanut butter or figs, white chocolate and flaxseed) and homemade artisan ice-cream using single-origin coffee and cacao harvested in Latin America and Africa, and locally sourced organic milk. Upstairs, diners will find farm-to-table fresh Japanese cuisine at lunch and dinner, as well as Australian and Japanese ciders. Bonsai Botanika is run by the passionate folk behind Edamame at St Lucia.
