Straddling the border of Fortitude Valley and New Farm is Avalon Florals, an adorable florist selling an assortment of ready-made and custom bouquets. All flowers are sourced daily from local flower markets and wholesalers, though soon flowers will also be supplied directly from Queensland micro farms. Once the Avalon Florals website is live, locals will be able to place orders for pick-up and daily delivery. Along the window shelves are an assortment of hand-picked pieces – we’re talking colourful vases from KAS as well as candles from Nonna’s Grocer and Byron Bay maker Posie, with more locally made ceramics to come.
