Aether Brewing

Milton’s craft beer bar scene scored another venue in late 2016 when Aether Brewing opened the doors to its state-of-the-art brewpub on Railway Terrace. Response to the Aether product was immediate, and soon the team were forced to look for a new brewing space that could satisfy demand. A warehouse in Northgate was transformed into a large-scale production-focused brewery, with gear installed that could brew more than 200,000 litres of beer per annum. In late 2019, Aether opened a taproom at the Northgate location, welcoming in locals and long-time fans to come and sip beers fresh from the source. Ten taps are online, pouring Aether’s six-strong core range as well as a selection of seasonal drops. A tinne fridge also houses some limited-edition cans and core beers for take-home consumption, while food trucks rolls in every weekend to help line stomachs. Aether Brewing is currently in the process of lodging an application to establish a satellite cellar door for Ballandean’s Golden Grove Estate at the Northgate Brewery. Although there’s no timetable for its arrival, non-beer drinking guests will soon be able to sip on the winery’s acclaimed selection of drops.
