Pizza and pasta lovers, get excited. The owners of Ristorante Fellini at Marina Mirage, one the Gold Coast’s longest-standing Italian restaurants, have unveiled their latest venture – Pizzeria and Mozzarella Bar by Fellini. The new 50-seat eatery has taken over the space formerly occupied by Fellini’s Pasta Shop in Marina Mirage and operates separately to its fine-dining sibling Ristorante Fellini offering a more casual menu and vibe. A two-metre wide Italian woodfired oven takes pride of place churning out authentic woodfired pizzas alongside pastas and antipasto platters. In a Gold Coast first, Pizzeria and Mozzarella Bar by Fellini also features a ‘mozzarella bar’, where diners can choose from a variety of Italian and Australian mozzarellas to be served alongside a selection of meats and antipasto offerings. The venue is the latest project from Fellini Group owners Carlo Percuoco, Richard Burt and Raffaele Di Benedetto and is open Tuesdays to Sundays. In true casual dining style, reservations will not be taken so just walk on in.
