MOZZA MOZZA

If your mouth begins to involuntarily water at the thought of the perfect woodfired pizza, strands of delicate pasta and negroni slushies, go ahead and get a little giddy for MOZZA MOZZA. The impressive new 160-seater has transformed the former fine-diner Carmody’s at Southport Sharks into a modern trattoria that is set to add some signature Italian flair to your next dinner date. The menu is designed to surprise and delight, with dishes such as the cacio e pepe served tableside from a wheel of pecorino cheese alongside a moreish fried mortadella sando on fluffy white bread. The pizzas are undoubtedly a standout, made using a 48-hour fermented dough and topped with combinations such as Italian salame, peperoncino chilli and parmesan, wild mushroom ragu, black truffle paste, mozzarella and thyme, as well as the white-based potato pizza with green olives, pancetta, ricotta and a generous scattering of mozzarella. Thirsty? Sip Italian cocktails and spritzes, coconut margaritas or one of its house-made ‘cellos’, with lemon-cello, mandarin-cello and orange-cello available alongside Australian and Italian wines, and bottled beers including MOZZA MOZZA’s own lager on tap.
