Let’s get one thing straight – bao is king. So, understandably we’re pretty pumped that the Gold Coast has a dedicated bao eatery that has been created by some of the best in the business. Husband and wife duo Daud and Emmi Kendall teamed up in 2014 to create Lucky Bao, which quickly developed a hefty following of bao-lovers from its main post at Miami Marketta. At the new standalone venue, you’ll find plenty of Lucky Bao’s signature pillow-soft combinations on the menu, boasting a mix of Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese and Chinese flavours. Here’s our tip – sit down and order Lucky’s chilli and caramel nuts, sip on a Bobby Bang (you’ll have to go there to find out what this is) and work out how to strategically eat your way through the amazing menu.
