Found inside Mermaid Plaza, Chut & Co has been luring locals in with the enticing scent of Canberra-made coffee and some kick-ass brunch bites since early March 2023. A superb coffee is what’s promised at Chut & Co, and java sippers can expect to swig ONA Coffee – with Chut & Co being the first Gold Coast cafe to serve the Canberra coffee label. The eats look to impress too, with an all-day menu full of hearty and healthy dishes. The favourite so far are the house made crispy corn fritters with sliced avocado, poached eggs, roasted tomatoes, tomato relish and pesto. The brekkie burger (crispy bacon, fried egg, grilled haloumi, house made herb aioli, tomato and cos lettuce on a brioche bun) and the green power bowl (sauteed mushrooms, kale, spinach, roasted cherry tomatoes and quinoa served with poached eggs, sliced avocado and lemon) are both choice picks. The cabinet is also lined with grab-and-go goods, with pastries supplied by Burleigh Baker.
