The Aztec Broadbeach

Having operated from the same space in Victoria Square in Broadbeach for what feels like forever (well, since 1995, which may as well be forever), stalwart Mexican restaurant The Aztec has shaken things up and moved to a new home in nearby Albert Avenue. The venue still offers the same hearty old-school Mexican favourites that you’ve come to know and love (hello cheesy baked burritos of happiness) alongside a few exciting new additions including jalapeno poppers filled with queso and crumbed in crushed corn chips. Not a fan of meat? Good news – the majority of the menu can be made vegetarian or vegan. Alongside the new fare, The Aztec has dropped an impressive new selection of cocktails and 40-plus tequilas to tickle your tastebuds. If you’re up for it, the tequila flights are always a fun time but if you’re more of a cocktail kind of person, the coconut margarita is pretty much a tropical holiday in a fancy cup. The cucumber chilli margarita is also a must-try for those who don’t mind a little heat with their liquor. If it’s been a while in between drinks, it’s high time you checked out The Aztec Broadbeach.
