Byron Bay lifestyle inspires Arcadia Movement activewear

There’s a lot of good that comes out of Byron Bay – beaches, sunshine, food, and those laid-back feels. Now we’ve got one more reason to love Byron – it’s given us activewear label Arcadia Movement. Taking inspiration from Byron Bay’s chilled vibes and beachside culture, Arcadia Movement has set itself apart with a collection of simple, refined pieces designed for women that take the time to move.

Creator and designer Gemma Stanford, a Byron Bay local, has allowed the outdoors and the free-spirited lifestyle of the beachside town shine through the range – a refreshing take from traditionally associating activewear with getting sweaty at an indoor gym. Combined with a passion for art, textiles, architecture, vintage sportswear and the street, the Arcadia Movement collection showcases both intricate prints and neutral colours across a range of pieces like active crops, leg wear, tops and shorts. It’s activewear that doesn’t make you feel forced to get your sweat on – you might be walking along the beach, on a bush track or doing backyard yoga. Whatever you’re into, you can do it in style.

The combination of being designed for movement whilst exuding quality is what makes Arcadia Movement’s collection a real wardrobe must-have. You’ll find hand-painted designs in prints across the range, like the Viper Legging and the panelled Atlantis Short – a unique step away from common black and grey activewear. The swimwear adds a splash of colour to the Arcadia Movement collection with one and two-piece swimmers featuring contrasting panels of patterns and block colours. If the athleisure wear is your style, you’ll fall in love with the collection of tees, tanks, dresses and trackies – you’ll feel comfortable and will be totally downward dog-ready.
