Dive into the creative side of surf culture at Love Street’s film photography exhibition

As smartphone technology continues to advance each year, capturing life’s precious moments has become more convenient than ever. However, amidst the sea of digital snapshots, there’s a timeless appeal to the art of capturing a single shot on film. In recent years, film photography has experienced a resurgence, and now, Love Street is joining forces with Surfolk and Pura Film Lab to celebrate this enduring craft with a film night to remember.

Celebrate the art of film photography and community spirit on June 22 when Love Street throw a party like no other, teaming up with film camera and apparel legends, Surfolk, and Gold Coast’s own film processing hub, Pura Film Lab. This is more than just an exhibition of film photography, it promises to be a feast for the senses, featuring live tunes, delectable food and a bar stocked with the finest local beverages.

At the heart of the festivities will be a showcase of stunning artwork by talented individuals including Clementine Bourke, Evie Hudson, Grainy Shutter, and Softmore Sophomore. Their works will transport you to captivating worlds and inspire a deep appreciation for visual storytelling.

But the fun doesn’t stop there! Local music lords The Yams will be taking the stage, ensuring the dance floor stays lively all night long. Plus, there will be a raffle raising funds for the Reef Restoration Foundation, with every ticket purchased not only providing a chance to win fantastic prizes but also an important contribution to a worthy cause.

As you mingle with fellow film enthusiasts and soak in the vibrant atmosphere, tantalise your taste buds with mouth-watering treats prepared by the Love Street culinary team. And of course, wash it all down with a refreshing selection of local drops from Earth Beer Company, Brookies Gin, and Husk Rum.

So roll on down to Love Street from 5:00–9:00 pm on Saturday June 22 for a beautiful night of creativity and community to honour the timeless art of film photography. Bring your camera for a night you won’t want to miss.
