Pavement Whispers: Brisbane’s much-loved Vikasati Bathhouse is opening a House of Wellness on the Gold Coast
While it’s true that immersing your body in freezing-cold water might not sound like a particularly relaxing activity, the resulting health benefits of boosted circulation and invigorated senses make it a decidedly worthwhile pursuit. Plus, nothing beats the feeling of sinking into the hot magnesium plunge pool afterwards. Bringing its holistic approach to wellness, Brisbane’s coveted Vikasati Bathhouse has today announced a second location that’s set to open this spring. Here’s everything we know so far …
Vikasati Bathhouse is set to open at The Alcove, which has sprung to life in Southport following the opening of FARINA & Co. Hoping to emulate the success of their Brisbane location, founders Ben Murphy and Will Stodulka are bringing an outdoor bathhouse experience featuring hot and cold magnesium plunge pools, stand-up ice baths and a state-of-the-art sauna. At Vikasati – also known as the House of Wellness – every element is designed to optimise hot and cold immersion, providing a sanctuary for both relaxation and community connection.
“We are thrilled to officially announce our new location on the Gold Coast,” said Will Stodulka. “Our Southport home is based on the same philosophies as our original location. If you appreciate sunshine, fresh air and a focus on wellness, Vikasati is the perfect destination.”
One of the pillars that has made Vikasati Bathhouse a much-loved fixture among Brisbane’s wellness seekers is the non-prescriptive, judgment-free environment where visitors can access expert guidance or explore their journey independently. Vikasati Bathhouse offer casual sessions starting from $46, while memberships for those who join the waitlist prior to opening will be available from $25 a week.
Vikasati Bathhouse will be located at The Alcove, 15 Pinter Drive, Southport and is planning to open in spring 2024.
