Fans of froth rejoice – Crafted Beer Festival is back for not one but two huge days of goodness at the idyllic beachside precinct of Kurrawa Park in Broadbeach from September 9–10. As well as a whistle-wetting line-up of hot-off-the-canning-line brews, the festival boasts sizzling entertainment and fun activities like live music, comedy acts and beer yoga. Here are some of the jolly ventures you can undertake at this year’s Crafted Beer Festival

Bend and stretch at beer yoga
You can take your pick from a whopping 400 delectable drops from more than 50 of the nation’s best craft breweries, cideries and seltzer makers at Crafted Beer Festival. Some of the familiar faces you’ll see include Precinct Brewing Co, Soapbox Beer, Straddie Brewing Co, Fortitude Brewing Co., Madocke Beer Brewing Company, Revel Brewing Co, Currumbin Valley Brewing and much more. Another favourite is Burleigh Barrels, which will be hosting beer yoga sessions on both the Saturday and Sunday. These sessions will see drinkers raise their Burleigh Barrels beer to the sky while stretching, flexing, bending and let’s be honest, drinking. If yoga isn’t your thing, be sure to try tipsy Twister, which is sure to be a favourite at this year’s festival.

Indulge in a premium whiskey or wine-tasting session
Local gin distillery Granddad Jack’s will be once again slinging G&Ts and cocktails from their two-storey vintage bar, and this year the team are also hosting a clutch of exclusive whiskey tastings. On Sunday, tipplers can treat their palate to two distinct whiskeys, while hearing directly from the makers themselves. The whiskey will be expertly paired with a charcuterie tasting cone from Church Mouse Cheese, so you won’t go hungry. Those who prefer grape juice can partake in Carafe Wine’s wine-and-cheese tasting sessions, which are also happening on Sunday. The sessions will indulge oenophiles with a premium wine flight and a perfectly paired cheese-tasting plate. Be quick to purchase tickets to these tantalising tastings, as spots are limited! Tickets can be purchased on top of day and weekend passes at checkout.

Giggle and guffaw at some live comedy acts
In addition to sampling exclusive beers, festival-goers can froth over some seriously great live acts at the 2023 edition of Crafted. There’ll be a barrel of laughs had at the Madocke Beer Brewing Comedy Sessions, which will see local comedians take the stage with some side-splitting anecdotes. These giggle-inducing sessions will take place over both Saturday and Sunday, so make sure to add it to your festival itinerary.

Handle the heat at a hot-wing competition
Those who like to spice up their life can test their taste buds at Cycho’s Hot Wing Competition, which returns to Crafted for another year on the Sunday. Don’t deal well with spice? Crafted has called in the big guns to ensure you don’t leave hungry. Devour truffle gnocchi from Bigoli Italian Street Food, authentic German sausages from Brat House, Spanish paella from Samba Catering Co, or slow-and-low-smoked meat plates from Flamin Grillas.

Groove the weekend away to the soundtrack of live tunes
Crafted Beer Festival always puts on a show, and this year’s entertainment line-up is stellar. Saturday will see Sydney’s Polish Club hit the stage alongside Ska soul-splosion band Fat Picnic, femme-punk band Being Jane Lane, and indie-rockers The Dandys. The Sunday session slows things down with Gold Coast favourites Tijuana Cartel, as well as Kurilpa Reach, Nana Klumpp, Ruby Gilbert and The Colliflowers. We’re more than just a little excited to see these tune-makers take the stage!

The last few events sold out quicker than you could do a shoey, so grab your tickets at the Crafted Beer Festival website schooner rather than later.
