With a long-standing history of dispensing sartorial style amongst Brisbane gentlemen, The Cloakroom has set itself as the preeminent spot for proper suiting. Since opening, more and more men have come to The Cloakroom to upgrade their style or purchase that investment suit. As demand has grown, so has the need for more space to cater to the hordes of dapper dudes, therefore it was decided that The Cloakroom needed to find a new spot from which to operate. The Cloakroom recently opened its new location, situated above Hermès on the corner of Edward Street in the CBD.

Triple the size of the previous location, The Cloakroom now boasts more room to move and more rack space to house the boutique garments. The open space features clean lines and a classic aesthetic, aided by comfortable leather couches and throwback photos on the walls. Located under the same roof are goods from Pistols at Dawn and Initial Denim, including garments from Pistols at Dawn’s Autumn/Winter collection such as bomber jackets and trench coats. The Cloakroom stock brands including old favourites Carmina, Dormeuil and Creed as well as some new selections. The store’s new brands include Hunter Lab cosmetics, fragrances from specialised brands such as Frapin and Keiko Mecheri, Graf von Faber-Castell pens, as well as a range of handmade fedoras, crafted from rabbit fur felt in collaboration with Felicity Boevink. The coming weeks will see a barber shop set up on site, as well as an outdoor balcony area that can be hired for events.
