Mountain Goat Summer Ale comes in a can

While longstanding Brisbane beer brand XXXX switched to a long-necked bottle when it released its Summer Bright Lager a few years back, one Australian microbrewery has taken cues from our stubbie-wearing, tinny-holding forefathers of decades past and released its latest creation in an aluminium can.

Victorian brewery Mountain Goat Beer is set to quench steamy summer thirsts with its latest limited release, the Mountain Goat Summer Ale. The first craft beer brand to use the format of a can to deliver its bubbly brew, Mountain Goat Beer has formulated an aromatic, hoppy ale for the warm-weather season, with notes similar to its Skipping Girl and Goldilocks varietals. Fresh and full of citrus, the new ale uses a blend of fruity Nelson Sauvin and Motueka hops and malted and unmalted wheat to form its crisp, dry taste.

The packaging is perfect for outdoor barbecues in the park or by the water of a sunny afternoon, and will help make good use of those fatter stubbie holders you’ve collected each music festival that are currently collecting dust in the back of the kitchen cupboard.
