Creative Women’s Circle launches in Brisbane

Whatever your artistic tool of choice, the lovely ladyfolk of Brisbane are being summoned to the city’s first Creative Women’s Circle event on Saturday April 5.

While there may not be a sure-fire formula for sparking creativity, we believe the combination of coffee, cake and inspirational chatter must be the best prescription. Mingle with fellow female writers, artists and makers at Brisbane’s first Creative Women’s Circle (CWC) event on Saturday April 5 and head home with pockets full of passion. Founded by interior designer Dearne Herrenberg in 2004, and guided by graphic designer Tess McCabe since 2009, CWC knits together a community of like-minded ladies who unite to share their journeys and inspire others.

The Melbourne-based initiative is now launching in Brisbane, with the first Queensland event taking place in the beautiful Toby Scott Studio in Clayfield. Award-winning filmmaker and photographer Hailey Bartholomew will chat about turning her passion into a living and preserving that elusive work-life balance. Hailey runs a film and photography business alongside her husband Andrew, and has shot commercials, documentaries and promo videos, as well as independent projects like her short film for children. The event will run from 2:00–4:00 pm, with event hosts Lizzie Stafford, Tess Curran and our very own Linsey Rendell treating their guests to afternoon tea following the talk. Ten percent of all ticket sales will go to Amnesty International – nab yours online.
