ice
2 jalapeño peppers, seeded
60 ml white tequila
1/2 tablespoon agave nectar
30 ml Cointreau or triple sec

TO MAKE

Cut one lime and rub over the rim of a glass. Sprinkle some salt onto a plate and roll the rim over the seasoning. Those after a bit of extra spice can add chilli powder to the salt. Pop a few cubes of ice into the glass and set aside.

Place one jalapeño pepper in a cocktail shaker and muddle with a spoon or muddler.

Add crushed ice and pour in the tequila, agave nectar, and Cointreau or triple sec. Shake vigorously.

Strain the cocktail and pour into the prepared glass. Slice the second lime and jalapeño, and add as a garnish to serve.
