Amalgamating music, art, dance and markets, Valley Multicultural Festival is a free nine-hour event lain throughout Chinatown Mall. From 1:00–10:00 pm, artists from seven different Asia-Pacific nations will demonstrate the performance traditions of their native lands. Market stalls, massage, roving ninjas and Thai Buddhist Sunday School will all be part of the day.

Neighbouring the festival, the regular Valley Markets will be on from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, offering bric-a-brac and vintage treasures. From 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, alt-electronic pop performer Georgia Potter will provide a suitable soundtrack for an afternoon of wandering through market stalls and sampling street foods.
