The Seed Project

The Seed Project brings new talent to QPAC

Local independent bands are preparing to perform original music live as part of a new weekly mini-festival dubbed The Seed Project.

From Friday August 9 to Friday October 11, the grounds of South Bank will embrace the free collaborative project between QPAC and Griffith University’s Queensland Conservatorium (QCGU), which is aimed at showcasing the musical talents of local artists. Set on the lush Melbourne Street Green, The Seed Project will include performances by Electrik Lemonade, Sneeky Picnic, GOVS, Timber Bones and Marcus Blacke.

The project’s artists are all part of QCGU’s popular music program and have recently contributed to the album Seed Volume 2. Songs from the annually produced album series will be heard throughout the cultural precinct, where punters can laze on the lawns, gaze at the stars, take in the warm spring weather and enjoy the compositions of the resident entertainers.
